Directions to my Practice in Nelson
If it’s your first time visiting me, please take the time to carefully read the directions below.
Snowy/slippery days require a different approach — see below!
Most days, these directions work well:
Walk to or park on the highest section of Carbonate Street. Look for my sign on Carbonate, and walk up to the modern white build via our driveway (spring/summer/fall) or the shovelled path beside the sign (winter). Knock on the glass door with a sign for “Sanctuary” on it.
On icy or snowy days, Carbonate Street is very hazardous and a different route is a good idea.
Instead of approaching from Carbonate on those days, come via Mill Street to B-1017 Mill Street, taking the walkway around to the back of the modern white build to find the same entrance which faces Carbonate St. You’ll know you’re in the right spot if you see “Sanctuary” on the door. If driving, the easiest parking is ½ a block away on Cherry Street, between Carbonate and Mill. The easiest driving route up the hill on a bad winter day is to take Latimer Street to Cherry.
To avoid disrupting our neighbours:
Please only knock on the door with the sign for “Sanctuary” on it. Please DO NOT park in anyone’s driveway.
